The New Hampshire motto is "Live Free Or Die".
Fewer than 50% of New Hampshire Republican primary voters want to live free.
Haley should have pushed that more when she was talking about Trumps policies.

I doubt that that would have had any impact. Trump voters think he's in favor of freedom. Freedom to own guns. Freedom to be Christian. Freedom from having a transgender person in a public restroom. Freedom from people from Latin America.

If he means domestic terrorists I can believe him.
And his MAGA boys would plant a bomb somewhere to prove him right.

What did Tim Scott's girlfriend say to him when she picked him up

I would like to think she said, "If you love him so much, why don't you marry him?" but I'm otherwise stumped.

I fine it kind of outrageous that our two final major party candidates are more or less decided after less than half a million votes (0.15% of the US population) — representing two culturally distinctive states that bear little resemblance to the broader national culture — have been cast.

MAGA Republicans prefer chaos to governing. Dems were willing to give Rs loads of concessions on border policy (in exchange for tying in Ukraine aid, which is another issue Rs would have supported before they became a cult). Rather than take the double win, they look like they are ready to blow it all up as an opposition to compromise. This will cause Ukraine's effort in holding back Putin to flounder even further AND not do anything substantial to solve the US border crisis that none of the Republicans will shut up about.

On of the top ranked issues coming out of both IA and NH exit polls of Republican voters was immigration. Yet, the elected Rs don't even want to do a deal that is favorable to them on that issue. Nutty.

Funny thing about this.

Lefty Jr works for a government contractor in DC, and because of the threatened government shutdowns, they've been working overtime to get things finished before any stoppage occurs. There have been two deadlines, neither of which actually happened. But agencies pulled work and projects forward wherever they could. When the shutdowns didn't happen they were 'ahead' of schedule. He's talked to others in different agencies and it's the same story. We recently renewed our passports- they told us it would take 8-12 weeks. We got them in 3.

And as another deadline is looming in March, they're doing the same thing all over again. So it's a good time to renew your passport, unless of course they actually DO shut the government down in which case you're screwed.

Trump-simp Ronna McDaniel is trying to get the RNC to declare Trump "the presumptive nominee" by resolution. I guess the 48 states who didn't vote yet don't matter to her in her efforts to show fealty to his royal orangeness.

Absolutely true. Trump told them to kill the deal and they're obeying. I'm hoping that Democrats point out the hypocrisy here but my expectations are low. When Democrats are afraid of an issue, they try to pretend it doesn't exist, leaving the Republicans free to run wild with the wildest conspiracies.

That's how we got those 'caravans' in Mexico that mysteriously vanished right after the election was over.

This is not to say illegal immigration isn't a problem; it is. But the solution isn't concertina wire in the middle of the Rio Grande. What there needs to be is a lot more money for asylum judges, more processing power, and yes, more enforcement. There also needs to be more work addressing the root causes which are the deplorable conditions in Central America. The bipartisan Senate bill had some truly awful things in it but that was the price that had to be paid to get a deal (and to get money to Ukraine/Israel/Taiwan). And even that wasn't enough because they couldn't give Biden a 'win'.

Especially since it seems like they may be reversed: Ht = 187 cm (6' 1"); IQ = 62

I don't want to question that IQ, but is "The Right need ..." correct subject-verb agreement, or correct capitalization?
