Memories of Carlos Carrasco

Post by G-Fafif » Sat Jan 27, 2024 7:21 pm

Cookie's headed back to Cleveland. Notched his 100th career win as a 2022 Met, his one good season here.
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

Yeah, great dude. One of my all-time favorite Mets who was only here for a short time and wasn’t really good.

Sixth all-time in MLB history for wins by a Venezuelan-born player.

Nine wins behind #5, Aníbal Sánchez.

Was a big winner, despite not being a stellar pitcher, in 2022.

He was totally a cog in 2022.

It might have been a really impressive season had the Mets more frequently allowed him to go more than five innings per start.

Belongs in the category of veteran new arrivals who get hurt in spring training. No bueno.

Showed flashes but just couldn't stay healthy. He's a decent gamble for Cleveland on a minor league deal though.

Wasn't as good with the Mets as I anticipated he would be. Seemed like a nice guy and a good teammate, but he was another veteran whose best years were behind him. Injuries really seemed to take their toll. I wish him well with his return to Cleveland.
