Donald Trump is a political outrage (split from Hot Water)

Post by MFS62 » Mon Feb 12, 2024 11:28 am

How can anyone who has ever served in the military, or who is currently serving, ever vote for Trump?
From saying McClain wasn't a hero, to calling soldiers who served and died "suckers", to insulting a Gold Star mother, to making fun of Haley's deployed husband, the man has done it non-stop.
But they still support him.
Incredible.

The whole SHAM has become impossible to put into words or understand.
I was around a few Trumpsters over the weekend and if you say anything
bad about him, anything, they take it as a personal insult and you're dead to
them. Written off as a fucking libtard. I have to wake and funeral with some
today and tomorrow. Ununited Stupidity of America.

it's a fucking cult.

hopefully, if our country ever emerges from it's collective idiocy, these people will look back on it with the same sense of deep eternal shame as those who supported the fucking nazis in germany.

but that's giving them too much credit, i'm afraid.

I'd like to politely ask that we put content related to the former president being a political outrage in the politics thread or its own thread and reserve this space for content related to the former president's legal perils, which deserve their own documentation.

Well, he's not even hiding it anymore. He wants Putin to invade NATO. You have to laugh at his depiction of NATO as a pay-to-play operation; that's his mob boss mentality. And it features one of the big 'tells' that indicates the story is a lie- anytime he says 'a person came up to me and said 'Sir'. "Sir' is the tell- it never fails.

I mean, he lies all the time about everything, but 'sir' lies are special lies.

Trump claimed to have had a past conversation with an unnamed foreign leader about what could happen. "One of the presidents of a big country stood up [and] said, 'Well, sir, if we don't pay and we're attacked by Russia, will you protect us?'"

"I said, 'You didn't pay, you're delinquent,'" Trump said. "No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want."

This is why our European allies are understandably nervous. And outraged.

Nikki Haley hit back at Agent Orange for insulting not only her husband, who is deployed overseas in the military, but other soldiers as well.
She said "Donald has never had to sleep on the ground".
That is a memorable line, and I hope some version of it can be turned into a slogan to be used against him.
The metaphor of him living the privileged life while others have to work hard and sacrifice is an image that shouldn't be wasted.

It's really easy to follow up on. Any reporter can call him up and ask him what the country was and who the president was. If he refuses to answer, print that.

Looking beyond that, there are no "big" countries in NATO except the US and Canada. Canada doesn't have a president. The closest thing to "big" in NATO outside of those two countries is Turkey.

If he means "big" in terms of global influence, that brings, Germany, the UK, and France in as possibilities. France is the only one with a president among those three. So the only three reasonable suspects are President Emmanel Macron of France, President Francois Hollande of France (who held the post the first few months of the Trump presidency), and the always-engaging President Recep Erdoğan of Turkey.

A few hours of work would bring denials from all involved. President Trump wouldn't be able to name the person, the time, or the place, and the disgracefulness of his lie would be the story for days instead of just reprinting his story for some to believe and some to disbelieve.

Follow up, man!

Oh I see now. The post was wished into the cornfield. I guess I can't talk about how Trump wants to commit whatever crimes he feels like committing.

It seems Snopes, of all places, is totally carrying water for the ex-president/political outrage these days.

Now he's hawking his branded gold sneakers for up to $399.
He was at Sneaker-con in Philly this past weekend.
Who knew something like that existed?
But with him there, the accent was on the con.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — As he closes in on the Republican presidential nomination, former President Donald Trump made a highly unusual stop Saturday, hawking new Trump-branded sneakers at “Sneaker Con,” a gathering that bills itself as the “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.”

Trump was met with loud boos as well as cheers at the Philadelphia Convention Center as he introduced what he called the first official Trump footwear.

The shoes, shiny gold high tops with an American flag detail on the back, are being sold as “Never Surrender High-Tops” for $399 on a new website that also sells other Trump-branded shoes and “Victory47” cologne and perfume for $99 a bottle. He'd be the 47th president if elected again.

I don't know this for a fact, but I fully expect those sneakers to be shoddily manufactured and that they'll be falling apart in no time.

Probably made in Indonesia by 7-year-old starving children that

The more news I read, the more willing I am to kick these fucktards to the curb. Let them be their own racist, fetus hating country, there isn't much about Alabama and Mississippi and South Carolina I'd miss.
