Last Met Standing
Last Met Standing
By my count, there are three Mets who finished 2023 with the team who have yet to find 2024 employers.
That's besides the Zach Muckenhirns of the world who were Mets in 2023 but moved on to other organizations during the season.
Which will be the last guy to find an employer for the current fiscal year?

I voted for Locastro but I forgot the was the "fast" guy. I think there's probably a 25th roster spot for him somewhere. I can see Vogey getting singed by the A's or something. I think Coonrod's your guy here. Shitty relief pitcher and by all accounts a shitty guy, too. He'll be lucky to find an employer.
great googly moogly!

I'd totally sign Vogey to a minor league deal.
Re: Last Met Standing
Signing Vogey can help your ticket sales, as he is actually on the verge of an all-time career record.

Vogey would be a great draw in Syracuse. And maybe he homers his way back to Flushing, giving the Mets the courage to trade Alonso for 2 young stud pitchers

And yet, no votes for Coonskin so far.A Boy Named Seo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 2:17 pm I voted for Locastro but I forgot the was the "fast" guy. The fun thing is that this can be settled tomorrow or ... never. Terrance Gore, 2022 Met, never found a 2023 employer, but according to Mets Roster Central, never announced a retirement either.

As opposed to going to Canada to throw off your draft board.

All you Coonrod voters can count yourself as winners. But since there were no Coonrod voters, the prize money gets doubled over into next week's prediction contest, or something.
Coony, meanwhile is leaning toward retirement.
