Guess that Met
Re: Guess that Met
Feliciano is correct. For #3, when the question was first posed, the answer was three, but I think we're up to four now.
1. When the Mets shutout the Phillies three times in a row in May 2010, it was the second time in team history they shutout the same team in three straight games. In 1969, they did it against the Phillies. Name the winning pitchers who did it that time.
Hint: The year was one of the team's highlight seasons. The team they did it against one that is now one of their primary rivals. The winning pitchers debuted for the team in 1967, 1967 and 1969.
Hint: Jesse Hudson and Wayne Garrett debuted for the Mets that year. The team it was against featured Grant Jackson and Dick Allen. The winning pitchers made 12, 2 and 0 All-Star Games, respectively.
Hint: Gil Hodges managed the Mets that year. The team it was against won the World Series in 1980 and 2008. The winning pitchers won 198, 140 and 41 games for the Mets, respectively.
Hint: Carlton Fisk, Darrell Evans and Toby Harrah all debuted that year. The team it was against once had a third baseman named Mike Schmidt. The pitchers who did it won 311, 222 and 46 career games, respectively.

Re: Guess that Met
#1 Pete Alonso, Lee Mazzilli, Melvin Mora
Re: Guess that Met
You got Piazza, Glavine, Hundley and Johnson correct for #5. Think of some underwhelming Mets that were part of big signings or trades from the early 2000s, that might help. Not third base for #4, but you're geographically pretty darn close. 7/21/1991 is correct—it was "against the Dodgers in the bottom of the third and the Mets won 9-4. Mark Carreon, Charlie O'Brien, and Dwight Gooden hit consecutive doubles against Bob Ojeda and the next batter Keith Miller hit a double off of Mike Hartley." For #1, Alonso and Mazzilli are correct. One of the others might have been a good field, no hit shortstop, while the other might have once been traded for Kris Benson.
1. Who are the only players to play 150 or more games for the Mets in their rookie year? Pete Alonso and Lee Mazzilli have been guessed correctly.
Hint: Player 1 debuted for the Mets in 1976. Player 2 debuted in 1996. Player 3 debuted in 2002. Player 4 debuted in 2019.

Hint: The ladies loved Player 1. Luis Lopez did not love Player 2. Orioles fans loved Player 3 in 2010, when he was an All-Star. Player 4 loved tearing the shirts off of his teammates after walk-off hits.
Hint: One of the remaining players was involved in this trade: "December 15, 2002: Traded by the New York Mets to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for players to be named later. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays sent Russ Johnson (December 16, 2002) and Josh Pressley (minors) (December 16, 2002) to the New York Mets to complete the trade." The other player was involved in this trade: "Traded by the New York Mets with Matt Peterson (minors) and José Bautista to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Kris Benson and Jeff Keppinger."

5. Royce Clayton
Re: Guess that Met
Clayton is correct, well done! A new question has been added, with hints for the rest.
1. Who was the first pitcher to hit a HR in Citi Field?
Hint: Spent most of his career with the Pirates.
Hint: While with the Pirates, threw a three-hit shutout against the Mets in 2012.
Hint: Played from 2005 to 2014, going 77-100 with a 4.30 ERA.
Hint: Was a first round pick, #8 overall, in 2003.
Hint:
Hint: Mets named Byrd, Gibson and Siebert all shared his first name. He's the only guy in big league history with his last name, but a late-90s Met named Pat had a similar sounding surname.
Hint: A famous Beatle shares his first name, so does a famous Pope. His middle name is "Gurner."
