Seven of Nine
Nate Lavender has faced nine batters this spring, and struck out seven of them.

Re: Seven of Nine
I opened this thread expecting Jeri Ryan content and instead I got a no name reliever. What a buzzkill.

I'm a little surprised he was sent down, but I suspect he'll be one of the first in line to come up. If even half these guys bounce back, our pen might be pretty strong!

Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.
Re: Seven of Nine
Teams need to rethink how pitchers are handled since Tommy John is a given nowadays. How many extra ligaments (technically I'm pretty sure they pull a vestigial tendon from your forearm, actually) do these people have?G-Fafif wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:10 pm Nothing good in store in '24 for Tommy John surgeree Nate Lavender.

Re: Seven of Nine
Generally, the palmaris longus ligament of the forearm is used. For pitchers that have undergone numerous TJ surgeries or do not have a suitable palmaris longus ligament available, the surgeon sometimes uses a tendon from the knee or even "donor" tendon from the recently deceased.
