I thought so too.

It's funny watching players' families in 2024. I saw those guys and thought to myself "Wow, these guys look like they'd go to Trump rallies. Would be nice to ruin their night. Oh wait, there's a black woman there, maybe not."

It sucks. And I hate that I'm allowing myself to swayed by all the divisive rhetoric. Maybe after the orange asshole is behind bars we can someday go back to decency and the city folks and rural folks won't instinctively hate each other.

That reminds me of what someone (Ben?) wrote in the prediction thread.
(I paraphrase) He predicted no Mets starter would win 10 games this year.
It has become a rarity.

I think my prediction was that no Mets pitcher would get to the 162 innings required for the ERA title. That's never happened before, but we've come close, including last year.
