Cardinals should be famous for position players wearing uni numbers in the 40s

Some nights, you got nothing, and you've got to keep throwing pitches.
Here's to you, Adam Otto.

Nice pitching from about the 3rd inning on.
On offense we had a nice inning.

When the Mets win AND the starting pitcher is the one credited with the W, we should all get free pizza.

I'm guessing Yohan Ramirez gets activated and Cole Sulser demoted before his head hits the pillow.

Pitches tonight:
Butto - 89 (or about 6 innings worth in 5 innings which, considering it looked like he was going to spend 6 innings worth in 3 innings early on, isn't too bad)
Sulser - 15
SR-F - 14
Lopez - 11
Garrett - 14
Otto - 24
So Otto is cooked for tomorrow though Diaz and Diekman should be back in the mix
The others used tonight should be available on Wednesday even with the short turn-around

I thought so too.
It's funny watching players' families in 2024. I saw those guys and thought to myself "Wow, these guys look like they'd go to Trump rallies. Would be nice to ruin their night. Oh wait, there's a black woman there, maybe not."
It sucks. And I hate that I'm allowing myself to swayed by all the divisive rhetoric. Maybe after the orange asshole is behind bars we can someday go back to decency and the city folks and rural folks won't instinctively hate each other.

That kid's Mom, though. Don't think she's not about making America great.
Re: IGT 05/07/24 -- NYM @ STL
That reminds me of what someone (Ben?) wrote in the prediction thread.
(I paraphrase) He predicted no Mets starter would win 10 games this year.
It has become a rarity.
Later
I blame Susan Collins

I think my prediction was that no Mets pitcher would get to the 162 innings required for the ERA title. That's never happened before, but we've come close, including last year.
