If any Mets are invited I hope that they decline. F the WBC (I'll be fine with it if the Mets aren't involved b/c it doesn't do anything good for the Mets and that's all I care about).

I don't mind the WBC. It helps spread the wonderful game of baseball all over the world. We see teams that aren't baseball powerhouses in it ... last time, the Czech Republic was represented.

I think the Czech Republic team was largely an exception to the rule as (again, I think, if I remember correctly) they only included one player who wasn't Czech-born.

In fact, one of their players, catcher Martin Cervenka, ended up playing for the Syracuse Mets.
