This was sort of a must-miss for us. It came off in its marketing as corporate apologetics disguised as entertainment.

Yeah they definitely want you rooting for a corporation and for athletes to begin the influencer era. That was my problem with it.

They jammed a couple dozen pop songs between 82 and 84 -- Tempted, In a Big Country, Blister in the Sun, I Can't Fight This Feelin' Anymore, etc etc And so as not to seem out of touch they have a character talk about how Born in the USA from Bruce's new album isn't about celebrating or flag-waving-- only to use the song in the triumphant "we got our guy" scene.

All that said as a story about a dedicated guy with a tough work assignment, it was well-done.

Yeah, the idea that getting Jordan on board would be enough to carry a movie sounds insane , but it was well done
