I didn't know where to start when I first looked at this. But once I got started
it actually fell into place rather quickly even though in an odd order.

I don't generally post in this thread but I play the Connections game pretty much daily. I like it very much because it's somewhat challenging. I've even had one or two games where I couldn't solve a single grouping.

I nailed this puzzle without any mistakes. It was the most miraculous Connections win I've ever had. I solved one of the categories immediately. And then I struggled. I couldn't figure anything else out. Finally, I decided to just give up. It was a combination of struggling some but also running out of patience. So I blindly clicked on four clues, figuring I'd get a wrong answer. Then I'd repeat until I ran out of guesses and the correct answers would reveal themselves. Only when I randomly clicked on the first four clues, trying to lose on purpose, it turned out that I correctly nailed another category. And so then, with just eight boxes or clues left, I was able to solve the rest of the puzzle. What are the odds of that happening? (I can answer my own question but I'm too lazy to do the math right now).

I can't do the numbers but guessing is a bad strategy I would guess. I even suck when they tell me I have three right.

Impatience is the major impediment to Connections success. It almost happened to me this morning

Yeah. I agree. But I wasn't trying to guess in order to win or solve the puzzle. I was trying to lose on purpose because I had run out of patience. So I clicked on four boxes without even looking at what those four clues even said. I was hoping to end the game so that the answers would reveal themselves. I had given up. But those four blind guesses turned out to solve one of the three remaining categories.

Dumb luck.
