The Chile trip is both business and pleasure. I can work remotely so I took a week off in Patagonia, worked in Valparaiso, took a week off at a beach town plus 3 days in the desert; then I work next week in Santiago (going there tomorrow). Then back home. It’s been an amazing time in a beautiful countryI loved Valpo. It was a major stopping point for ships that went around Cape Horn prior to the opening of the Panama Canal, but after that it went from metropolis to forgotten pretty soon. The town sort of stopped developing for a century so its like stepping to the 1910s and the architecture is a time capsule from that period (at least along the waterfront). Chile is a gorgeous (and safe) country---good food, excellent wine, lovely people. Highly recommend.

Salad of mixed greens, carrots, onions, pickled peppers, olives, pepperoncini and crutons with dressing from the Thousand Islands, and then a ham, turkey, provolone and banana pepper sandwich with mayo on a brioche roll, and a couple of Aldi's brand Fig Newtons. And a can of strawberry seltzer.

Half a ham sandwich. Cheezits, carrot sticks, a few grapes and a cheese stick. Glass of water.
Re: ==++-->> Lunch Check 2024 <<--++==
I had a honey turkey and cheese sandwich, but it tasted off, I had opened a new bottle of Mayo this morning, but it was in the pantry , can that go off? It was probably sitting there unopened for a few months at most

If the seal under the cap wasn't broken and it was within the freshness date on the label, it should be ok.
Think of how long those jars stay on supermarket shelves, unrefrigerated, until sold.

Right? I checked the expiration and it's good, I actually think the lunch box itself was the cause of the smell, it had been sitting there and I don't think I cleaned it
