The story from this game going forward is going to be whether Quintana stays in the rotation.

Mendoza said in the post-game presser that its not even a question at this point---he's staying.

Manaea today means three lefties in a row. The radio booth asked when the last time that happened (three lefty Mets starters in a three game series)----those who didn't listen, have at it.

Oh well, here it is anyhow:
The Belmont Stakes is better than the Preakness.
sigh

Quintana's ERA since the start of August is 8.27. However, since the start of July, it's a more respectable 4.56 and since June 15, it's still a decent 3.86. The past four starts have been rough, but the two starts before that he allowed just one run each. In July, his ERA was 2.05. I'm not throwing the towel in on him, yet.

Still, a very sucky game. I had hope at one point there.

Also, Ottavino's ERA since June 8? 3.18 in 25 appearances. So, he's been better. Still don't want him back ever again, but he's been better.
