Even though there's barely any more Federal relief from gerrymandering, you can still defeat it through the state courts. If you have the courts, you have everything. I say that a lot. But that'll be tested if the madman wins in November. SCOTUS already gave him so much mind-boggling and outrageous power should he win, that if he has to, he'll likely pull the next move out of the Dictator's playbook and defy SCOTUS itself if it suits his needs. "How the fuck does SCOTUS intend to enforce its own orders"?, he'll dare.

I believe the line is "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it." and then going on to do a Trail of Tears.

Not that trump's addled brain knows who John Marshall is if it's not scribbled on his McDonalds wrapper for him.

Is that what Andrew Jackson actually said or is that quote an urban legend? It does capture the spirit of what Andrew Jackson actually said, if it's not technically correct. Kinda like Marie Antoinette's legendary but inaccurate "Let them eat cake".

sure. "The decision of the supreme court has fell still born, and they find that it cannot coerce Georgia to yield to its mandate." is said to be the real line. That's too refined a sentence for someone with trump's faculties.

The madman's penchant for telegraphing the awful things he intends to do is simply head-scratching. Here's what the narcissistic sociopath said today:
“You have to get out and vote, and Christians: you have to get out and vote! Just this time.

“You won’t have to do it anymore. In four more years, you know what? It will be fixed. It will be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians,” Trump said. “We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.”

Yeah, I saw that too. Saying the quiet part out loud.

Here's the full quote:

“And again, Christians, get out and vote!” he said to a cheering audience. “Just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years. You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine! You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians! I’m a Christian. I love you. Get out. You gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again.”

Kamala- he just made your next ad for you.......

Wait, wuh??

They don’t want dialogue, they don’t want to hear anything from the past of any ___________. Then ____ will run cover for them and tell them what to think and how to feel and they feel comfort in that. It’s absurd. Sorry, had to vent.

RFK Jr goes falconing with friends in upstate New York and they hit a small bear. Hilarity ensues.

I think the Kamala factor has pretty much eliminated any Democrats voting for him, thankfully. But I guess this story might win him a few of the people who think Trump isn't cruel and weird enough.

In a caption on the post containing the video, Kennedy wrote, “Looking forward to seeing how you spin this one, @NewYorker.”
What "spin" can possibly make that story more or less embarrassing and absurd than it is, Mr. K.?

Weird story, but as long as the bear was truly dead when he found it that's all it is, a weird story. What is he guilty of, littering with the largest piece of litter ever? "Dumping" maybe?

Sounds like this guy is desperate for press, maybe even leaked the story himself.

No, Bob, your legacy is one of stealing everything you could get your entitled little grubby paws on.

lol, just saw this. Biden withdrew because political strategists ran some scenarios and panicked. Of course, cognition only applies to one party, mostly because republicans don't have any to begin with, but like J.D. Vance couldn't even pass the "order food normally" test.

RFKJR admits he had a worm in his brain. The other two think they're normal.
RFKJR wins this contest.

OE: Donnie Dump is now asking that the mics be "hot" throughout his entire debate with Kamala Harris.. So his outbursts may put him back in the lead in this race to the bottom.

In an already strange profile in Town & Country, RFK Jr.'s daughter Kick Kennedy once shared the sort of childhood memory that stays with you for all the wrong reasons.
Kick's taste for the extreme was fed by her dad's eccentric environmentalism. Exhibit A: When she was six, word got out that a dead whale had washed up on Squaw Island in Hyannis Port. Bobby — who likes to study animal skulls and skeletons — ran down to the beach with a chainsaw, cut off the whale's head, and then bungee-corded it to the roof of the family minivan for the five-hour haul back to Mount Kisco, New York. "Every time we accelerated on the highway, whale juice would pour into the windows of the car, and it was the rankest thing on the planet," Kick recalls. "We all had plastic bags over our heads with mouth holes cut out, and people on the highway were giving us the finger, but that was just normal day-to-day stuff for us."

I don't want to think about where he might have dumped the whale's head after he was done with it.

It's a nickname, her given name is Kathleen.
'Kick' had also been the nickname of her great Aunt Kathleen (JFK's younger and RFK Sr's older sister) who died in a plane crash at age 28
RFK Jr. also has a sister named Kathleen, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend who was Lt Governor of Maryland for a time, who was named for the same Aunt.

If you're going to a northeastern private school and your last name is Kennedy, I don't think there's a first name ugly enough to keep you from more or less being treated like royalty.
