Sandy Alderson tells T___p to go designate himself for assignment.

Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

In the early 1970s, my platoon and I were stationed at Marine Barracks, Washington, D.C., where we provided military honors for dozens of military burials at Arlington National Cemetery and ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. These were solemn, intensely personal affairs that were emotional for attendees and surviving family members.

Worth a read , thank you, Sandy

Good for you, Sandy.
And I hope you can get more of your fellow Marines to agree with you.

I'm kind of charmed and kind of frustrated by, "I never thought ... " statements.

He's demonstrated over and over again that nothing is beneath him. Quite the opposite — getting away with ever-lower behavior seems to be what gets him out of bed in the morning.

He unleashed a mob that, among other things, took shits on the floor of the Capitol.

He even lied about deaths of service members during his tenure to the families:

Just when you think he can't go lower, he does.

When this moment in our politics is left to the historians to analyze and dissect unemotionally, it will be a sad and tragic telling.

This country has lost its mind. This vile piece of shit should be trailing by 30, 35 points. And then the corrupt SCOTUS and judiciary that enables him to go on when he already should have been impeached by the Senate, barred from ever holding office again under the insurrectionist clause of the 14th Amendment, convicted of Federal crimes and incarcerated.

And as if that's not enough, SCOTUS made him more powerful by orders of magnitude by granting him the freedom to commit crimes without consequences.

It might be time to merge this into the "DT is a political outrage" thread.

Sandy, it should be remembered, fielded a question about January 6 the next day during a media Zoom call discussing the acquisition of Francisco Lindor:
As somebody like myself who spent a few years defending democracy, I guess in some way, not just yesterday but the last few years have been extraordinarily disappointing. But we have institutions that protect us from individuals in most cases, and it seems that those institutions have not only survived but guaranteed our survival as a democracy. So that’s my view.
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

What's the point? The orange scumbag ruined everything. It's true! Everything he touches dies. Turns to shit. You can't even have a baseball talk anymore.

Sandy Alderson.
