RHP Christian Scott has been transferred to the 60-day IL.

LHP Alex Young has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse.

Winker did enough to engrain himself in Mets history earlier in the season with that killer walk-off he had against Baltimore on August 21. It was that exact moment that the Mets became a playoff team in my eyes.

Another possibility is that they want Alonso to get his 162nd game checked off, but Winker will replace him mid-game.
