I couldn't commit to getting away in the middle of this week, but would have loved to see them in MIL during the playoffs.

This is bonus baseball. Enjoy.

In 2022 there were high expectations. This is a hey, anything can happen, kind of season.

Even duct tape can't fix stupid. But it can sure muffle the sound.

Not yet, no. I'm still in the glad-to-be-here phase. But if the Mets are holding a one-run lead going into the ninth, I'll be pacing in front of my TV like a caged animal.

Yeah, this is all gravy to me. Anything can happen going forward, but yesterday was the day I was nervous.

Winky has been pretty good all year, just ran into a slump at a bad time. I'm cool with Winker in the lineup. Heeyyyyyy

I'm also down with Winker in that slot. I kind of expected it.

I'd prefer Álvarez eighth and Taylor ninth, where maybe his wheels can help in front of the top of the lineup, but I can't get everything. I expect Bader and Martinez cracking the lineup tomorrow. Maybe Torrens also. Maybe none.

But today is all I'm promised, and I'm good.
