This year it's nice to be on the winning side of it. When you win by tiebreaker, you think back to how we needed every single one of those breaks. The win in Toronto after being no-hit. That 8-0 lead that the DBacks blew against the Brewers.
For me, I was thinking back to our trip to Phoenix in April. We watched the DBacks take on the Yankees. At that time we had no idea who would be in the playoff hunt, but we knew we wanted the Yankees to lose. Miserable game. The Yankees jumped out 5-0 and never looked back. "Let's go Yankees" chants all around us. Even on the walk back to the hotel.
But if the Diamondbacks won that game, maybe they'd be in the playoffs and the Mets would be going home. Funny how life works.
