I didn’t see the game so I don’t really know anything. I checked in to see the Mets up 3-2, then down 5-3 in the ten min I was on the train.

I would have gone with Garrett a second inning. He was well rested, he threw 12 pitches in the 6th, and the bottom of the Brewers order was due up. That seems like the precise scenario to get a second inning out of him, particularly with Maton and Diaz having such high workloads.
