SNY post-game show footer:

Pete Alonso: First player in MLB history to hit go-ahead HR while trailing in the 9th inning or later of a winner-take-all postseason game

Really? I find that hard to believe... tune in tomorrow for more on that....

Pretty sure it did
We couldn't have all had the same break with reality at the same time, right?

The Mets might’ve had two of the biggest HRs in franchise history….in the span of four days.

Yeah. How does Joe Carter and Bill Mazeroski not qualify? (Edited for accuracy.)

On further clarification: Carter's wasn't in a winner-take-all game, and Mazeroski's was with the score tied.

My house shook after that home run the way I was jumping around the living room. My wife and I joked that it felt like Shea. :)

They'll probably sleep on that decision.

It's amazing that the team finally gets a well earned day off with the family.

Clearly, they really, really want to last long enough for Jeff McNeil and Kodai Senga to heal and rejoin them.

HEY!! Maybe Senga starts on Saturday!!

DiComo tweeted that it’s under discussion but Megill is the leading candidate. I wonder if they keep Megill to two times through the Phillies’ order (similar to what happened on Sunday, 9/22) and then go with Peterson for the next 3-4 innings.

Severino pitches Game 2 Sunday on regular rest. Manaea and Quintana pitch games 3 and 4 each on an extra day’s rest.
