CPF Voting Roll Call 2024

Post by kcmets » Thu Oct 17, 2024 6:04 pm

KB and I voted via USPS on Tuesday.

First time in 44 years I didn't vote at a physical
polling place. Feels kinda weird, yet relaxing?

I intend to vote as I always have, on election day and in person.
The lines in my voting place are by street, so it never is very busy., the most people in front of me has been fewer than ten.

I’ll vote on Election Day. I early-voted in 2020 and it was fine but I prefer doing it on the day.

I voted early in 2020 also because of Covid and the desire to find a polling place a bit out of the way and less busy, which I did.

I'll vote early again this year but because I'm likely to be in Chicago on work travel the week of Erection Day.

For those of you who have been here a while, this is Fboy's first chance to help select a President, as he is 19 and voting via absentee ballot from Oneonta. Fgirl misses the age cutoff by just a bit, having just turned 17 in July.

That's great because the fact that you'll be in Chicago means you can almost certainly finagle a way to vote there too!

I'll be voting in person on Election Day.

I've only voted by mail twice: In 2020, of course, and in 2004 by absentee ballot because of a vacation in Italy.

Dropped our ballots off a week ago.
Even duct tape can't fix stupid. But it can sure muffle the sound.

Pleased to say that my two kids are living in swing states and that they and their partners will be voting the right way. Also, they were living in different states in 2020 so they are new voters in those states (PA, NC).

I'm working three days during the week of Halloween at our city hall helping with in-person early voters for the city clerk's office. I will be working the tables at a polling station the morning of Election Day. After that, I'll go to my polling location at vote.

I like to vote in person, and the precinct is around the corner. My daughter votes absentee so she can work at one of the polls -- which is a thankless job based on what she tells me. She is usually the youngest person working by 35 years, and that's not an exaggeration.
