OMFG , Long Island? Staten Island ? NJ?
My guess is SI: in 2016 no county in NY State went harder for Trump than Richmond County, and in the most recent mayoral election 2/3 of SI residents voted for Curtis Sliwa. It's a whole nother world out there.
Same in South Jersey, Ocean county
I'm not convinced Harris wins NJ, it's a longshot but.....
Harris will win NJ by at least a dozen points. We know what a dipshit Trump is, and with minor exceptions we're not stupid.
Looking into the Biden thing a little more deeply, it's not what it originally appeared to be. It's already losing steam everywhere but Fox. It also gives Harris an unexpected "I'm not Joe Biden" moment, as she's already restated today that she doesn't hate anybody, even Trump supporters. (Yeah, I know.... but she's a politician)
The state-level shenanigans can be minimized by the Democratic governors in Arizona, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Things will be tried but will fail. What will be an issue are not the actual problems but the false perception that there IS a problem. Trump has made it very clear that he's going to declare victory on election night regardless, and any result afterwards that shows him not winning will be 'fraud'. So there'll be a battle in the public sphere, but the counts will go on.
For example, Pennsylvania results might not be known for days since mail-in ballots cannot be counted until the physical polls close. But the odds are good that Election day voting will favor Trump, as it did in 2020. Then after mail-in ballots get counted, that could easily change. Cue the cries of fraud.
In addition to the states, there are the Feds, not working for Trump this time. Lefty Jr works for CISA, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency. As we speak they have two floors of a large building in Arlington solely dedicated to securing elections across the country. He's not even allowed on those floors, and they've been working around the clock for months making sure everything is up to snuff from coast to coast.
