Word of the Year

From the Cambridge Dictionary -

I don't recall it being used much.
What word would you have nominated?

"Grifter" is coming up much more than it used to, with good reason.

It's been used a ton, and I don't think (most) of the young people using it are really doing so a junk-science Dua Lipa way but just sorta a pop culture "Just gonna put this out there" type of way. Probably a good choice, but the article failed to be meta about it and talk about how the word manifested itself to work of the year. No wonder journalism is dead.

'Weaponized'
The answer to the question "Can people really be that stupid?" is always "Yes."
