**++-->>Lunch Check 2025<<--++**

Feeling a little under the weather (throat, nose, lungs) so I had
quart of hot and sour soup with some added Chinese hot oil.

It's the cure for what ails one...

Not raclette, not sure what it was - came from a cheese store/deli. Was pretty good.

Got a quart of some serious salad. Artichokes, cherry tomatoes,
diced beets, diced seedless cucumber, tiny fresh mozzarella balls,
red onion and fresh basil. Light garlic oil and vinegar just right.

And I have a little left for dinner appetizer...

Today the dining hall had Huli Huli chicken and Hawaiian chicken rice pilaf, which I followed with a spinach salad and M&M cookie. I did not know what Huli Huli chicken was, but it was good! Sometimes when the dining hall gets bold, it doesn't turn out well. But today was spot on!

The culinary students at a nearby college - and former employer - operate a lunch counter that has the basic things, but also items that are a little fancier and baked goods from the pastry classes. They're just trying to break even, so it's all very affordable. We had a team lunch meeting there today, so I had a roast beef and cheddar panini with a peanut butter bar that was fantastic. It can be a little hit-and-miss early in the semester, since they are learning. But today was a good day!

Two McD's Quarter Pounders with Cheese and fries. Salty good.

If I die later, it's been a pleasure sharing the last 25 years.
