There's a big giant hole in my heart. I keep expecting him to come around a corner

his woods (county land) but ended up bring him to vet for cremation.
Aw man sorry Kase. That sucks a lot.

Oh KC I'm so sorry. I know you loved Kasper a lot and it'll hurt for a long time. :(

I am in the process of renovating all my kitties' memorial gardens. It helps a little.

Thanks all. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a mess. Cried four times this morning.
Thankful KB is off until Wednesday. Being here alone would be dreadful.

Thanks again.

People and neighbors were great, stopping and saying stuff. He was the prince of
the street. Hard to explain to a couple of the kids who asked and didn't know. One
youngin' who has English as her second language didn't get it at first. We finally
connected and she said, "oh, he's with my grandma" I'll never forget that grin.

Then tonight, she's all we need to do is get two dogs. I'm like no, uno perro. And
she's like no dos perrros. No, uno. She's like tres perros!! She meant it lol.

Had he been ill that you knew of?It seems like he was just a pup, looking back, just a little older than our Saturn & Mars who each each turn 10 this summer

Right, he turned 10 on St Pat's Day. Time flies. He got lumpy over the last two years
and in the last six months the area around his dick got bloated. None of the lumps bothered
him if you touched them nor that underside area. I think he had a checkup in Feb/Mar and
the vet said there's really nothing one can do and he was in generally good health. He dragged
me around his woods Thursday afternoon. It was his time I guess, better than 2-3 months of
suffering if he was gonna check out this summer. He coughed twice laying on his side and died
early Friday morning with KB on the floor with him. Glad I didn't see that, selfish as it may sound.

Came up with a name for a new dog that works for either gender.

KB agreed instantly.

KB: I don't want a girl dog.
KC: I don't care, but prefer a boy.
KB: I don't want a pedigree.
KC: I just want another dog but I'm not in a hurry.
KB: I want a big dog, not a little one.
KC: I want a puppy, under a year, and one that will be big.
KB: I don't know what to do.
KC: _____ will find us, you'll see.

Submitted a four-page rescue application last night for a boxer puppy who was born
in Arkansas but is now in Connecticut with his brothers looking for a home. Ross is
his current name, his brothers are Joey and Chandler. While I get the thoroughness
of the questions, by the time I got to page four I was about to rip my... wait, I don't
have hair to rip out. Never mind.

Can't really see how we'll get declined. KB really needs this, so please xx-fingers.

Our neighbor introduced us to a concept of The Dog of Destiny.

When you're actively looking, you run into dead ends and bad matches, but when you're passively looking — just getting the word out and getting on a few rescue lists, but otherwise just living your life, someone will reach out to you and the right dog will find his or her way into your life.

Meet Kappy! He was with us about a week and then left on Tues night to go to get his
grapes snipped and his dew claws removed. We picked him up last night and he's right at
home. Photogenic hambone already...
