The initial response of 'but it was a sloped roof' should have been enough.

She had to go the moment a shooter got shots off at a presidential candidate under the secret service's protection at a live rally in a location that should have been secured. It's not like Trump took a stroll through Manhattan and she could reasonably say they can't secure every building in the neighborhood.
