See? Told you. Blood pressure. It's never easy with Diaz. If this is what we have to rely on in October to shut down games, we won't be going deep into October.

Magic number to lock up that Wild Card spot down to 18 with 18 games to play. I keep saying "second Wild Card spot" because I keep forgetting they watered down the playoffs even more by adding a third one.

I missed that entire bottom of the ninth with an Internet outage.

Was it awesome? I bet it was awesome.

It's never easy with anybody. At all.

Blood pressure is part of the package. It always has been.

I had somehow expected a larger Mets contingent at the game as we ran into others in town who were headed there - but in our section there were very few. That being said, the Torontonians were as polite as could be. In the second inning the dome opened so we got both closed and opened experiences. A couple of weeks ago the notion that Tylor Megill and Ryne Stanek would be players of the game would have seemed delusional but good for them. A nice ballpark, a lovely city - good museums, good food, super walkable.

A lot of Mets fans were watching from the hotel windows.

Maybe the key to Megill is to spring the start on him at the last moment: last night, various Opening Day assignments and injury fill-ins.
It's those prepared start that seem to give him trouble.

Yup. It's the 9th inning. God could be pitching and we'd be nervous.

But damn. That last fly ball. Phew.
