What's in Store for Twenty-Four?: Sean Reid-Foley

Post by Edgy MD » Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:47 pm

Effective when healthy, but not particularly great at staying healthy. That's the story of a lot of pitchers, and it's largely been mine.

But during my long layoff in 2023, I put another foot or two on my fastball, and it's allowed me to be effective without having to be quite as perfect as I had previously had to. Whether that extra speed is going to lead to still more layoff time or not, I don't know, but I'm active now. I'm effective against lefties and righties, and my mustache distinguishes me from other dudes. But I'm out of options and I'd like to stay around, and the DFA angel is always lurking, so how much control I have over that is unseen.

But you can guess, for you are wise.

He'll FINALLY get his long-awaited shot at a full season (injury notwithstanding) with New York, much like Stephen Nogosek and Tommy Hunter finally did, and like both of them, he'll impress very few to the tune of a 5.50 ERA in 14 appearances.
