Garrett is currently on pace for 55 G, 83 IP, 46 H, 139 K...and 41 walks.

Despite his current otherworldly ERA and low hits allowed, his WHIP is still over 1 because of all those walks. I think those are what are going to kill him and bring him back down to Earth.

But the Ks and IPs are feasible, I guess, as Josh Hader once had 141 Ks in 81 1/3 IP.

Wow, Brandon Crawford as a Cardinal is, like, a real thing.

Pete strikes out swinging...he's descending into Rob Deer territory.

Perfect opportunity for Butto to settle in and be perfect the rest of the game.

Goldschmidt and Pete came into the night sporting essentially the same BA (.203 and .205) to date this season but Goldschmidt
has just two HRs and five XBHs vs 8 & 12 for Pete (even if it seems like forever since he's had either).

Might be cuz the Mets have basically sucked for weeks but I find the games to be no fun to watch.

'Hit it to Arenado' is not usually considered a sound strategy, but it is so far this inning.
