Most obvious choice to call up (if necessary) would be Brett Baty, which would restore the roster to six infielders, while effectively turning McNeil into the fifth outfielder. Maybe it could help in screw his head on right.
It would also give the team some construction-ready asite.
Also, don't sleep on Ben Gamel, currently hitting .309 / .420 / .537 // .957.

Baty always seems to rake in AAA but can't translate that to the bigs.
Even duct tape can't fix stupid. But it can sure muffle the sound.

I wouldn't draw such conclusions.
Among other things, he's only played 45 games at AAA, far fewer than he's played (a little more than a season) in the majors.
