Do you guys actually post stuff, or do you just have an account to read the posts of others?

I really only use Twitter as a quick way to get covers from the TCD. And if somebody posts a link to something interesting. I'm really not a "user" of X and wouldn't know what to do if I was.

I just started an account and took a quick look at what was in the feed. Honestly, it looked like more of the same. Just another rplace for people to post snarky and hateful things.

I haven't seen a hateful thing in a while. I popped over to Twitter briefly and, especially in replies, every other tweet feels like it's some hateful lie. You got an example?

I'm struggling to figure out how to post the image. But one of the first things in the feed was a guy posting "Just posted this from the shitter" with a line of blue hearts and a photo of a building with "Fuck Musk" projected on the side. Then a bunch of soccer posts, then the same political stuff that's everywhere else.

If people what that kind of content and enjoy it, more power to them. Just not what I was hoping for.

No one gets anywhere by being nice to nazis, so leaving that aside. It's social media, you look at it from a 100' view, you're just getting 'stuff'. It's like walking into a mall and thinking "Oh, this is just a place for candy kiosks and some jewelry? not for me." You find the subset of interests and follow those people, and mostly your feed is your interests and those people, though of course general life stuff is going to filter through.
