Not a huge fan of either but I like the SQUIRREL uses all the space on the cover. The Newsday top and bottom borders detract from the vibez.
great googly moogly!

The Squirrel is competing. Lindor is just reveling in adulation. Plus Newsday must think we're idiots, feeling they had to italicize and color their not-so-clever pun, becoming a parody of the look-how-awesome-I-am post that Lindor is striking.
Go with the real news here, fellas.

"Squirrel" has the rare shot of a jubilant McNeil, the headline is clever and the subheadline, as mentioned before, has the time stamp of an 8th inning walk-off and deGrom being bailed out in the 7th. The Newsday cover has a picture of a horses' ass in the bottom right.

McNeil's hunchiness is kind of uncomfortable to look at.
I know not all lefty swingers look like Reggie Jackson coming out of their home run swing, but this picture just makes me feel too much friction.

Yup this. I really like the look of a well done News cover.

Rally Squirrel...
It's not too late to change your vote especially if you happened to have picked the wrong one

I'm going with the celebration of crushing the MFYs with 3 HRs as the right one (especially since if the Yankees had won one more regular season game they probably would've advanced farther in the postseason).

Squirrels; rodents with a good public relations department.
