7/9 IGT - Nats @ Mets - 7:10 start (or there abouts)

Or ... they can opt not to use their bullpen, embracing their good fortune when their pitcher is throwing a one-hit shutout.

But....don't major leaguers spontaneously combust when they reach 100 pitches?
Even duct tape can't fix stupid. But it can sure muffle the sound.

I certainly would support testing that theory.

No, but manager assholes (I could have reversed that) seem to ignite at 90.Lefty Specialist wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 11:10 amBut....don't major leaguers spontaneously combust when they reach 100 pitches?

I blame Susan Collins

That's exactly where I am with this team, and I think Mendy is also. They can't cough up 6 every night, so just hope the led is big enough when the players start to falter.
fwiw, I'd have probably taken out Quintana too. He worked very hard last night and it was very hot

I wonder if the planned six man rotation will loosen up the reins on unstated pitch count limits.
It's being put in mainly for Senga's benefit and probably for Peterson and Crash Christian too.
But if Manaea, Severino, and Quintana are going to make fewer starts maybe those starts will
be allowed to last a bit longer if they know that the recovery time will be longer too.
