It's funny, but it seems like in the era of the automatic intentional walk, the intentional walk has been a lot more uncommonly used.

I agree with sticking with Torrens here.
Alvarez is cold and there's still a 9th inning so there may yet be a spot to use him later.

If the Mets were even an average hitting team with the bases loaded they'd probably be three to five games higher in the standings.

Allowed the walk so he wasn't quite an AutoMaton, but he was close.
Unfortunately that one baserunner means Judge will bat in the 9th.
