And it's not like pulling Megill for the bullpen gambit has worked so far.

That 162-game schedule sure seems to be catching up to Alonso and Lindor.
Re: IGT 09/09 - Mets at Blue Jays
Nimmo's throw hit some kind of divot, or that play at the plate might have been closer.

Why would you pull Megill. Just mind boggling.

Sixteen straight batters retired -- change pitchers -- three of the next seven retired.

I think they saw two LHBs coming up, starting with the one who had the hard double, and tried to get ahead of the curve so to speak.

Can this be any more of a NYM bases-loaded but not hitting rally?

Alonso goes down swinging on the exact same three pitches ... and wasn't anywhere close to any of them.

Good work by Mendy there. 2 pinch runners scored, pinch hitter started the rally

I'm starting to feel bad how I keep forgetting Ryne Stanek is on the team until he shows up on the mound.
Re: IGT 09/09 - Mets at Blue Jays
I might have kept Alvarez in the game to replace Nimmo in left. It keeps your versatile guy available if somebody gets hurt.

Re: IGT 09/09 - Mets at Blue Jays
You'd lose a potential Nimmo AB if it goes to the 10th. He'd be no further than the 5th hitter in that inning.
