Good news. Haven't seen that anywhere but here but it's probably coming.

I got Pfizer shot #1 today. I’m extremely grateful.

I was the sucker who chose 2022 as when I expected to get vaccinated in our poll thread.

Very happy to see many here getting the vaccine.

I have dose two 4/10 but I already feel mentally relieved to a large degree.

A study in Israel showed that people who have received just one dose of the Pfizer vaccine have, on average, 87% resistance to the virus within 15 to 21 days. The second shot is less about boosting the resistance (although it does do that) but more about lengthening the duration of the immunity.

I just confirmed the appointment for my second dose, this upcoming Tuesday morning.

My niece got her first dose on Tuesday, my girlfriend got hers yesterday, on Wednesday, and my son is getting his today, Thursday. As this thread shows, more and more people are joining the Ranks of the Jabbed, and each one I hear about makes me happy.

Hardly any. Super efficient, like they’re pros. It’s possible I just hit a good interval. The whole visit was maybe 25 minutes, and most of that was “please wait 15 minutes afterwards to make sure you’re OK.”

Fill out that consent form (assuming they emailed you the link) before you head over. Saves time.
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

you gotta pair it with a hot krispy kreme donut for the superpowers.

I'm waiting on CVS to get less busy. They have four out of like one hundred "Appointment
Available" in New York state locations. Rest are "Fully Booked."

Maybe come Monday I'll get more proactive, start making calls... squeaky wheel gets the
oil and all that jazz.

I'm happy for all of you getting your shots. I'm not even eligible until April 19. Republican governors suck.

Super perv-o governor Cuomo announced all New Yorkers 30+ can sign up starting tomorrow and age 16+ on April 6th. Which is great news, especially the latter, as it means I can get Fboy an appointment on that date as well (he turned 16 last week).

What kind of a 16th birthday present is that?!?
Congratulations son, you're now 16 which means I'm going to have someone stab you in the arm.

Geez, some pop you are. Whatever happened to the time honored tradition of getting him a hooker?

Am I supposed to be happy about this? That's more competition for me! OK if they're also upping the vaccine supply. But if not, that's just more people jockeying for the same number of available slots.

Who's got the Johnson & Johnson? I'd rather only go once.

This isn't at all scientific, but I've read more good things about Pfizer than any of the others, so I'm happy to have gotten that one, even though it requires the two doses.

I've read that the J&J vaccine is being sent to places where the patients won't have to return for a second shot (e.g.-homeless shelters, rural areas, etc.) because coming back might be difficult. But I haven't seen any government official verify that.

Had not heard that, but it makes sense. I do know one person who was able to get it.

My daughter had the second Pfizer shot and no side effects, thank goodness.
