Guess who died in 2022
Re: Guess who died in 2022
The great Jets receiver Don Maynard, 86.
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.
Re: Guess who died in 2022
Namath to Maynard was poetry in motion.
I loved watching him catch a pass and run right past the defender.

Saw Maynard catch a TD pass in the only football game I ever attended at Shea Stadium from ... Babe Parilli.
Namath, IIRC, started the game but had been either injured or benched mid-game.

I saw her in concert in Central Park in the ‘90’s opening for Tommy James. She was great (so was Tommy).

Also lost from the music world this month, Marilyn Berger, co-writer of haunting movie themes “The Way We Were” and “The Windmills of Your Mind,” among many others. She was 93.

Not for nothing, but didn't he die last summer?

Either that or he came back after discovering a new issue on which he was vaguely informed that he wanted to protest.

So many special roles, but my favorite is a 1970s Christmas movie called "The Gathering."

Clearly, Yahoo News could use an editor like Lou Grant.

It appears Yahoo is letting Ted Baxter do the editing for them.
