Well, this was actually 15 years ago yesterday.

Also, we need to pay whatever it takes to get LWFS back on the team
He's like the version of that guy who became a town cop, and is a hell of an upstanding-- if smug as hell-- one during daylight hours. Only he gets drunk sometimes and gets really racist and "fag"-bash-y when he does... and is still a bully with everyone in his life, including his children.

I have not watched that footage since I saw it happen live, and I shall never again watch it. Because I love myself too much to subject myself to it.

The Autumn of 2022. We lost Seawolf in August and LWFS in October.

We could also use a return from Hahn Solo, Soupcan, and Swan

A B C, It's easy as
1 2 3, as simple as
do re mi, A B C, 1 2 3

A: I fucking hate this this team.
B: No one is forcing you to be a Mets fan. Go watch some other team.
A: Fuck you. I'm allowed to vent.
C: Language aside, I agree with A.
If we can't vent among our own, where can we vent?

everyone was traumatized at that moment. Unpredictable things happen.

I remain surprised that Gfafif was leading the "release that guy" movement.

I recall when we got metirish back, someone tried to bring back seawolf and he refused the invitation.

Some people drift away, and some deliberately leave because of the toxicity that flares up around here from time to time.

Ceetar and I are podcasting again, every other week, after a two year hiatus. Both Seawolf and ABNS are regular participants as well.

I think them (Ceeter & Seawolf, plus LWFS, Met Fairy, etc.) moving on from the CPF is largely based not on the failures of the team to compete but more by certain regulars around here who are, you know, relentless assholes.

While I stand by my “release” sentiment as it was rendered in the moment — which itself was, I believe, the shittiest Mets moment simply as a moment (rather than as a numbing conclusion to an ongoing trauma) I’ve ever experienced — I attempted to make my personal peace with Castillo a few years ago by ranking him No. 100 as part of a multipart series on Mets of the 2000s, acknowledging he had as good a 2009 as he was capable of, while certainly not forgetting the one-handed debacle of June 12. When I tweeted the article, an immediate response was, in so many words, I’m not bleeping reading anything that bleeping praises Luis Bleeping Castillo. While I felt that nonreader lacked the ability to grasp nuance, I understood.
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

Me three. That's what I remember the most about the Castillo game: how uncharacteristically mean G-FAFIF was to Castillo. It was so brutal that I ended up feeling sorry for the guy. Castillo, that is. I think it was like two or three times meaner than he was to Gl@v!ne. And he's never mean to anybody.

Though I never altered the spelling of Castillo.

I was in the back of a taxicab heading for the Hong Kong airport, closing out a business trip. I was following primitive GameCast on my primitive Iphone and saw that there were two out. And then GameCast didn't update for a looooooong time. I thought I'd lost the connection but I guess GameCast was figuring out how best to describe the shitshow. Finally a long, brutal description was rendered (along with a changed final score) and I swore so loudly the cabbie thought something was wrong.
Even duct tape can't fix stupid. But it can sure muffle the sound.

I've quit 17 1/2 times in the last 15 years. I'm sorry to have let
down the 'wolfs, 'strongrs, and fairys of the forum for not being
able to leave. I'll work harder, so they can come back.
